GRIFFIN, Arthur 63, Arthur "Griff" or "Ray" Griffin died Monday, Nov 8, 2010. Born in Georgia, he moved to Pinellas Park in 1955. US Army Veteran, singer, guitarist.
Dave Mooney and I would walk or drive over to Ray's house frequently to see what he was up to with his love of music and if the band he was playing bass guitar in was playing anywhere soon. Ray had quite the stage presence for a teenager and was totally into that scene. He loved the girls and I must say, he always seemed to have a "looker" by him. I was fortunate to be able to talk to Ray on the phone a couple weeks before he passed away, where we had some good laughs and chuckled over our competition over a go-go girl we knew in those long ago days. His spirits were high, he was cheerful....then he was gone. So long Ray and rock on, where ever you are.
