Ron Tiede

Ron Tiede

Ron passed away August 21, 2012 after a courageous battle with cancer.  Survived by his wife, Tina; daughter and son-in-law, Courtney and Art Fulmer; stepson and wife, Daryl and Angie Leslie; grandchildren, Brooke and Blake Fulmer; father and stepmother, Richard Tiede and Gloria; and brother, Craig.  He was predeceased by his mother, Edith and brother, Richard.  He graduated from Northeast High School and USF and was an owner of Commercial Insurance Specialists until his recent retirement.  Ron loved his family, friends and clients and each relationship was so special to him.  His two grandchildren were very dear to his heart.  He enjoyed music, traveling, USF football and discussing the ways of the world.  There will be a Celebration of Life on Sat. Aug. 25th at the Emerald Greens Golf Course and Country Club from 6-8 pm to share with friends the love that surrounded him and to honor his zest for life.  In lieu of flowers, Ron's wishes were for a toast to good times.

I miss Ronnie still.  He became part of our family during UF college years when his parents were in Germany and he would spend Christmas with us.  We took an epic cross crounty trip, sleeping in hostels and in the car when needed, out to the Grand Canyon and back.  Ron was sweet, cute, and always ready to argue with me about politics.  Our whole family loved him.  His big brother, Rich, was my brother, Jack's, fraternity big brother and my sister dated Rich.  So, we were family back in the day and Ron and Rich's passing are great losses to the Day family.
