Fred and I were in band together. He played the trumpet and was pretty good as I recall. Seems to me that Fred was among the first to fall while defending our country in the Viet Nam "conflict". God bless him and all that perished during that subsequent wars. I imagine Fred in Heaven, playing "taps" for all the fallen warriors.

Fred was my first date at a dance in the 7th grade at Meadowlawn. He was nice and died much too young.
