Linda Stansel (Odendahl)

LINDA JO (STANSEL) ODENDAHL

Born on September 13, 1947 at Mound Park Hospital.  She passed away on Tuesday, February 4 after a long battle with brain cancer.  She was the daughter of Billie and Irving Stansel.   She was a 1965 graduate of Northeast High School and received an AA degree from St. Petersburg Junior College.  Linda retired from both The Prudential Insurance Company and Verizon.   She will be mourned by her faithful, feline companion, Tigger.   She also leaves her extended family, Barbara Bartlett, Melissa (Jarrett) Shible and their children Kenley and Camden.   Linda loved children and was particularly close to her goddaughter, Melissa and her family.   She had a wide variety of hobbies and was always reading to increase her knowledge of the world around her.

She will also be deeply missed by her caregiver, Missie Garrison and her family, Donny, Brendan, Skyelyn, and Gavin. They were always ready to brighten up her day or help her in any way they could.

The family wishes to say Thank-you to the Orange Team of Florida Suncoast Hospice, and the CNA staff of Brightstar to guide through her transition.

Also, a special thanks for Clem and Carole White who worked diligently taking care of her legal matters.

Linda and I became close friends our senior year at NEHI.   When Linda was married, Joe and I would get together with them every week-end.  She became part of our family.   She helped me when my Joe passed away, and I helped her when her mother passed away.   She was like a sister to me.   I will miss her very much   Barbara (Metcalf) Bartlett
