ANDERSON, JOSEPHINE MCCLURE, 89, of St. Petersburg, died Sunday (Nov. 16, 2003) at Suncoast Manor Health Center. She came here in 1924 from her native Petersburg, Va. She graduated from St. Petersburg High School in 1932 and from Agnes Scott College in 1936. She was a media specialist, librarian and English teacher for 37 years, working first at St. Petersburg High School and later at Northeast High School. She retired in 1972 after 36 years of service. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was a past president of the Pasadena Women's Club. Survivors include three daughters, Betsy Little, McDowell, Va., Jo Bowman, Tallahassee, and Sally Thompson, Clinton, Wash.; a sister, Anne McClure Bleakley, St. Petersburg; a brother, Edwin B. McClure, St. Petersburg; caregiver, Mary E. Perry, St. Petersburg; and two grandsons. Anderson-McQueen Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center-Ninth Street Chapel, St. Petersburg.
