Richard Gary "Rick" Heim passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at the age of 73 at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL, while surrounded by his loving family.  He was a self-taught industrial engineer in the commercial bakery industry, a master machinist, and a proprietor of several small businesses.  He had a kind heart and an unmatched talent for accomplishing any task he set his mind to, no matter how difficult or complex it might be.  He was greatly beloved by all who knew him.  He was an avid outdoorsman, a man of many talents and skills who loved his family and lived life to the fullest.  He was preceded in death by his father, Richard "Dick"; his mother, June; his brother, Robert "Bobby"; and his sister, Linda.  He is survived by his wife, Paige; his two sons, Scott and Jeff; his daughter-in-law, Michelle; his two grandchildren, Lauren and Luke, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.  A graveside service for immediate family in Ortona, FL will be announced at a future date.
